Home again! We enjoyed a speedy visit to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. We saw the work on the varnish of “The Night Watch”.
We had a colorful sunrise on our bus ride to the airport.
We glad to be home after a wonderful trip!
Yesterday, on the way from Rotterdam, we stopped to see the Kinderdijk Windmills.
Later, we arrived Hoorn in time to enjoy an orange sunset.
This morning, after a lovely sunrise, we took a walking tour of Hoorn including a performance of dances and songs by a neighboring troupe.
After a visit with dear friends in Nijmegen, we had a walking tour of the city. It was wonderful to see Iris after 20 years. She and her husband showed us some sights of the area as well as their home and Iris’ lab.
We are now on board the Viking Kvasir. We left Brussels at 9pm last night and docked in Antwerp before dawn. This morning, we took a walking tour of some ancient parts of the city.
The Cathedral of Our Lady is beautiful and the largest Gothic building in the Dutch-speaking world. It is home of four Rubens paintings.
We leave for Maastricht this afternoon.
