Our fifth day of walking was the longest of this trip - just under 10 miles. The countryside remains beautiful with many old towns and houses and churches.

We stepped inside Hailes Church, part of a large estate. The Baptismal Font looks well used!

We spent the night at Abbots Grange. It’s ancient Great Hall has a who’s who of former guests.
