We're on the road again. I'm not driving and neither is Norman. We're in the Atacama Dessert in Chile -

On the drive here from Calama, we saw our first guanacos of the trip -

We drove through the Salt Mountains. The salt deposits here are lithium salt; it get purified and used to make lithium batteries.

This afternoon we checked into the Awasi Atacama. We are with our friend Charlotte Jones. Norman and I have fabulous rooms -

We have talked to our guide about tomorrow's excursions. We are resting before dinner. It's pretty heavenly!
