We caught the free City Circle Tram in front of the Parliament and headed back to Federation Square to begin our walk through the Botanical Garden.

We walked to the Shrine of Remembrance which honors those ANZACs who lost their lives in wars. The view of downtown Melbourne is excellent from there.

After returning to Federation Square, we ate lunch and attended an organized tour concert at the Anglican Cathedral before reboarding  the tram for a trip to the Victoria State Library.

Melbourne has many free attractions. The City Circle tram route is designed to get tourists from place to place for no charge. The parts of the city we saw have free, clean public restrooms. There are water fountains available too.

This morning we depart for our drive along the coast highway.
