After picking up a car, we (Norman, that is) drove to the Werribee Mansion. The sixty room estate of the Chirnside family is now owned by the Victoria Parks. In addition to the spectacular home are rose gardens and wonderful tree specimens. 

After a quick lunch there, we began our drive along the Great Ocean Road.
