Today we took a short hike from the Lake McDonald Lodge to McDonald Falls via the Johns Lake Trail. Here is Norman along the creek above Lake McDonald.

 

And here I am just below the falls.

 

Along the trail, we saw this deer grazing. She wasn’t the least bit afraid of us.

A stunning volume of water is flowing from the spring snow melt.

As the trail crosses back over the creek, notice the more serene flow as the creek enters the lake.

Looking back upstream toward the falls, you can see the mist from the pounding water.
