Okay, on to today. We got an early start for our drive westward. We soon had a view of the snow-capped Big Horn Mountains in the distance.
We stopped for lunch near Powder Pass with a lot of snow still on the ground.
The drive to Shoshoni was beautiful.
As the afternoon progressed, the storm clouds gathered. They got much more threatening than this. We were almost blown away in Riverton.
We are safe and sound for the night at a lovely RV park in Dubois, Wyoming.
Here is a picture of me beside our RV. It seems big to drive.
But here is my friend Anthony beside his rig!
I first met Anthony when he came to the Beacon to do laundry. He was not working and was living on the streets. I am so very proud of him and his journey to his new life - he is a commercial truck driver, is married and has a home. When we talked on Mother's Day, Anthony was in Illinois. He has driven from coast to coast, seeing the country he had only read about before. In case you ever wonder if your work at the Beacon matters, meet Anthony.
