Today we had a shorter than usual drive. We began in the rain (in fact, it rained the whole night in Bay Center where we camped).

The sky got lighter as we drove along the Hood Canal. The tide was out, exposing wide mud flats. We saw a few folks digging for clams.

As we continued north toward Port Angeles, we finally saw the sun with mountains in the distance.

From our camp tonight, we look toward Olympic National Park and its snow-capped peaks.

Canada tomorrow!
