We started out with clouds this morning. By the time we got to the Oregon border, the rain had started:

 

We followed the Malheur River for a long way as it ran right beside the road:

 

The stormy skies were with us most of the day:

 

 

We passed a lot of beautiful green farmland, but there was chaparral too:

 

 

In the distance we got a first look at the Cascade Range:

 

 

As we got closer to Bend, Oregon, we saw cedars and the beginning of more trees:

 

 

We were lucky to find a spot in the Scandia RV park in Bend after a day of driving in the rain. And here's a photo of the intrepid travelers (for Kate).
