We retraced our path back along the Skeena to the turnoff at Kitwanga.
The clouds gathered as we drove east.
We could see mountains in the distance - and clouds.
Much of the traffic we encounter is log trucks loaded and headed to the lumber mills.
When we turned off toward Stewart, we saw snow-capped mountains in the distance.
Their tops were in the clouds.
Is it snowing up there?
The drive from the Meziadin Junction is beautiful as it follows the Bear River.
Numerous waterfalls feed the creeks that feed the river.
The road crosses the Bear River several times.
This is the Bear Glacier. The turquoise color is more pronounced than it looks here.
One final crossing of the Bear River brought us into Stewart and the Bear River RV Park for the night. Pictures of the town of Stewart will be on tomorrow's post.
What a drive!
