Day 13 – Tuesday, May 24, 2022
Today’s drive was long and beautiful and filled with wildlife spotting. The rain came and went, but the beauty was with us the whole way. Our wildlife tally included 13 bear (one grizzly, 12 black bear including 2 young cubs), 1 porcupine, 2 caribou, 5 mountain sheep and tons of bison. My mother hated the use of “tons” as a description, but we saw close to 100 bison so they did amount to “tons”.
The day started in dense fog and ended in dense clouds.
We were in and out of sunshine, but the clouds made the sky a stunning canvas. We crossed rivers, some glacial, and passed by the beautiful turquoise Muncho Lake.
Snow is still visible along the road.
There are too many pictures, but it was such a scenic day!
