Day 14 – Wednesday, May 25, 2022
We spent the night at a campground just outside of Watson Lake. They had only been open 3 days. Spring is very late this year, and the cold has delayed things. This is our third Spring Adventure Package; each route has been different, but we’ve never seen so much ice in lakes and rivers.
Our wildlife count was much lower today – one black bear, one caribou, one elk and one porcupine. The scenery is breathtaking; the clouds are every changing yet always remarkably beautiful.
We are dry camping tonight (we are not hooked up to water or power) and not even allowed to use our generator to run the microwave. The excellent shower facilities make up for a lot! Tomorrow night is off the grid; don’t worry if you don’t hear from me until Friday or Saturday.
