The heather is still trying to burst into full bloom. It still needs that day of sunshine, but there is more purple than 2 days ago -

And this boundary stone (the larger of the two). The other stone is the Jenny Bradley stone (there is no record of why it's there or who she was) -
We made stops for lunch and boot checks -

After more and more moor, we finally headed back into the woods -
A note about yesterday's post - Gary was kind enough to correct me about the sheep moat. Ha, ha it's not a who, who! The correct term is "ha, ha" though it has been referred to as an "ah, ah" (probably because it maintains the view while keeping the sheep away from places they don't belong). Thanks, Gary. You never cease to amaze us with your knowledge of obscure facts.
